Hi Jan,
Our second stay was wonderful. The weather was amazing and it was lovely to be able to just relax and enjoy the oceanview. We did notice that we didn't hear any noise from the other suite but just assumed that they were just very quiet.

had an awesome experience. I almost don't want to give it a rave review because
I want to keep it our little secret. We had a couple of rain showers but took
advantage of weather when it let up. We've been to Bowen a couple of times but
never left the main drag. This time we explored the whole island and found it
very quaint. Thanks for allowing us to stay. It was fabulous!

Hi Jan-
David here, I spent the weekend with my girlfriend Sheena in
the petite Suite at the Lazy B. A very good time. We had meant to sign the
guestbook but forgot. I had imagined a pithy line such as “We saw the name and
we obeyed: A lazy weekend.” It was a very good one, quiet, in the suite, the balcony,
and a few casual walks down to the cove. On Sunday we did get some vigour
percolating, with a kayak from Snug Harbour past the cove and over to the next
one, Cates, and returned. It’s a good thing we rested up!...;)

"Fabulous Escape from the City" Just got back from a weekend away at the Lazy B Petite Suite (the smaller suite for up to 4 people). The accommodation was very well presented, modern and clean, with views over the water towards mainland Vancouver and Cypress Mountain. The accommodation is studio style with a double bed at one end of the cottage and sofa bed in the living room/kitchen area. There's a great balcony overlooking the sea, and cute little garden. The public access pebble beach is less than a minute away (great for skimming stones!) and the main town area of Snug Cove is an easy 3km walk or car ride away."
From the owner: A small correction about the size of the bed, it is a Queen size bed with a full size upgraded sleeper sofa."

"Our family came up from Bainbridge Island to Bowen Island for a 2-day getaway after Christmas, and to ski and snowshoe at Cypress. What a perfect combination! Gorgeous, sunny vistas over Horseshoe Bay from Lazy Bowen, the wonderful beach house, then a scenic ferry ride over to Cypress, where the snow was perfect and panorama breathtaking. Even for those like us who are accustomed to the great beauty of the Pacific Northwest and the scenic ferry rides to and fro', this experience was a show-stopper.
Visitors, pay heed to all the caveats about Cleator Road - -our Audi A-4 wagon seemed perfect as it is not too large and has AWD - - but do not let the road stop you from renting this house, which has the most beautiful views imaginable and is nicely stocked for your getaway. The property is quite rustic, but extremely comfortable and clean. Our favorite features, other than the view, were the fantastic fireplace ( raised hearth) and the beds, which were really comfortable and dressed in lovely linens and pillows. The one bathroom is very nice with a very good shower and tub.
Working with the owner has been a real pleasure, and we hope to rent there again. It is wonderful in the winter, and we'll bet the summers there are even more fantastic, although the winter scape with the snow-capped mountains and lights from Cypress across the water were truly unforgettable.
One more thing: the ride into town is short and scenic, so getting in to shop or enjoy the most delicious latte ever at Snug Cafe is a cinch. A+ in our book."

"Calm, beautiful, cozy get-away" My boyfriend and I went to this cottage because we really needed to get away and relax. We had planned on staying 2 nights and loved it so much we decided to stay a third. It was perfect; a short ferry ride from Vancouver, a short distance from the ferry on Bowen to the cottage, the kitchen was fully equipped, there was even shampoo/conditioner and body wash in the bathroom. All we needed to bring was food. The atmosphere was so calm and quiet we didn't want to leave."

"Relaxing on Bowen!" We had a lovely long weekend at the Petite Suite. The property is charming and the lower suite is gorgeous. It's spacious, bright and cheerful. The view is awesome. We toured around the island and did some walking, shopping and sat on a quaint beach and took some great photos. We enjoyed cooking and listening to great music while soaking up the charm and the sunshine at the Petite Suite. We would love to go back again! Thank you Jan! Your place is really really fantastic! Hi Jan,
We had a great stay. It was a lovely quiet weekend and
just what we needed as we anticipate the arrival of our first baby.
We loved the view and the fireplace and it was perfectly cozy. We didn't
leave the place once! I did go for a short walk down to the beach but
other than that we brought enough food for the weekend and enjoyed it very
much. (feel free to post)

Within the first hour we arrived we saw a group of otters playing on the dock and a hummingbird in the tree. So nice to wake up and hear the waves crashing. WE don't want to leave! Such a special place.

Complete Relaxation. We had an enjoyable time at the Lazy B Petite Suite. After a few days in Vancouver we were ready to getaway. this place was Perfect. We had yummy meals - Tuscany was Robbie's favorite - did lots of hiking, shipping and relaxed during a couples massage.

Desperate for a few days of relaxation, this beautiful little place was perfect! We had a fabulous meal at Tuscany - wish we could go back today but alas we must head home.
We reserved a spot on the water taxi yesterday morning (sat) but on one showed up. May be it was the rain. So we hopped on the next ferry and took the express bus (257) into downtown. It was EASY and gave us a lot more flexibility with our time than the water taxi.

On our honeymoon and all the way from Boston, Mass. USA!! The weather was gorgeous for our stay. WE golfed - fantastic views in a medium to hard course - and had a 3 hr kayak adventure - arms quite sore the following day.
We ate at Miksa for lunch, Tuscany for dinner, and wrapped up with a dinner at Blue Eyed Marys. All three meals were fantastic!
Grabbing lunch at Artisan Eats on our way out, folks have raved about the place.

I brought my family to see BC and visit some friends her on Bowen Island. (I used to live in Vancouver circa 1980-85). The Lazy B was the perfect spot to rest, recharge and chill in between all the visiting / touring.
Highlights included a lovely hike around Killarney Lake, and many other beautiful trails. Enjoyed walking abut the village and Artisan Square.
On our last night our friends took us on a boat ride over to Gibson's where we enjoyed cocktails and dinner a quaint oyster bar- the view was spectacular.
All in all, we had great weather, great company and a truly peaceful, clean, and comfy accommodation here at Lazy B.

Thank you for an amazing vacation. It was unforgettable!
We were lucky to arrive on the day of the full Moon to clear skies and watched a beautiful moon come up for 3 nights in a row. Much wine was consumed and many photographs taken. We hiked all the t rails we could find including those surrounding Mt. Gardner and ate in all the restaurants we could find open. Since this seems like paradise, we drove all over the island looking at real estate and in this we got to know the island intimately. A bald eagle landing in the tree right outside the balcony and we watched seals frolicking just below us. Most days we spent the afternoons laying on the Eagle Cliff beach with a book. It has been an amazing vacation and we will tell everyone abut you.
Thank you for a clean and well stocked Petite Suite.
P.S. Eat the butter chicken at Qi and the French omelet at Artisan Eats. Blue Eyed Marys is good specially the home made bread and unfiltered apple juice. Artisan Eats = Best Sunday brunch. Artisan Eats = Best culinary experience on island.

Dino and I had a wonderful stay! The weather was beautiful and warm! We hiked Killarney Lake, checked out the Cove, and did very little else. Absolutely perfect. Thanks so much.

Thank you for an amazing vacation. It was unforgettable!
We were lucky to arrive on the day of the full Moon to clear skies and watched a beautiful moon come up for 3 nights in a row. Much wine was consumed and many photographs taken. We hiked all the t rails we could find including those surrounding Mt. Gardner and ate in all the restaurants we could find open. Since this seems like paradise, we drove all over the island looking at real estate and in this we got to know the island intimately. A bald eagle landing in the tree right outside the balcony and we watched seals frolicking just below us. Most days we spent the afternoons laying on the Eagle Cliff beach with a book. It has been an amazing vacation and we will tell everyone abut you.

P.S. Eat the butter chicken at Qi and the French omelet at Artisan Eats. Blue Eyed Marys is good specially the home made bread and unfiltered apple juice. Artisan Eats = Best Sunday brunch. Artisan Eats = Best culinary experience on island.
